Cookie Special Recipe

If you’re a self-proclaimed cookie lover or Xmas lover, you’re going to want to set a reminder on your calendar for Cookie Day.

The holiday celebrated on December 4th is dedicated to one of the most diverse and beloved desserts in the world, the cookie. Is there anything better than taking that first heavenly bite of a warm cookie as the smell of freshly baked cookies still lingers in the air? So check it out our cookie special recipe.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to treat yourself to some fun and delicious treats on Cookie Day. There are plenty of ways to celebrate, whether you swing by the store to pick up a package of your favorite cookies on the way home or you decide to bake your own.

We have a customer who shared the special family's recipe. Is a Finnish recipe commonly used at Christmas. Our team has done it and we loved it!

Cookie Recipe

Cookie Ingredients

  • 425 g margarine (Solo)  
  • 425 g sugar (4 1/4 dl)  
  • 1 egg  
  • 2 1/4 dl "sirop de Liège"  
  • 2 1/4 dl cream  
  • 4 teaspoon bicarbonate de soda  
  • 1 kg wheat flour (fine)    
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon    
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder    
  • 1 teaspoon cloves powder    
  • 1 teaspoon Finnish pepper/ Jamaica pepper

Cookies Preparation

  1. Mix strongly the margarine (room temperature to have it easier) with sugar.
  2. Add the egg.
  3. Add sirop.
  4. Mix the soda powder in cream and add.
  5. Mix all spices with flour and add little by little in the dough.
  6. Cover the dough and let it rest in fridge one night.
  7. Next day make the biscuits of all kind forms.
  8. Oven 200°C. About 5 minutes, depends on the oven. (To make it easier and to avoid the dough to stick, use some flour on the table.)
